RESEARCH

My research interests are interdisciplinary and practice-oriented, spanning the following areas:

  • Global Child and Adolescent Health, with a focus on infectious diseases (including tuberculosis and HIV), immunisation, and health systems in both high- and low-resource settings
  • Refugee, Migrant, and Asylum-Seeking Health, particularly models of care, mental health screening, safeguarding, and barriers to access within the UK health system
  • Ethics, Power, and Representation in Global Health, including ethical use of imagery, decolonising knowledge practices, and participatory research methodologies
  • Medical and Health Professions Education, with interests in near-peer teaching, reflective practice, curriculum innovation, student wellbeing, and widening participation
  • Community-Engaged and Partnership-Based Research, emphasising co-production with communities, voluntary sector organisations, and young people
  • Sustainability and Social Determinants of Health, including integration of sustainability, equity, and social context into undergraduate medical curricula
