I am interested in a range of topics across ecology and conservation, including but not limited to the tropics and tropical forests, arthropod community ecology and climate change. I'm particularly interested in developing and implementing methods - from field study design and improvised experimentation, to molecular techniques for biodiversity discovery, to computational approaches to big data analysis.

I convene the MSc Conservation Science and Practice, and am the Senior Tutor in the Centre for Environmental Policy (CEP), responsible for student welfare.
