BIO

I am a Paediatrician, currently studying for a PhD in Paediatric Infectious Diseases at Imperial College London. My academic interests include improving diagnosis, classification and management of children with infectious diseases, and also better use of routinely collected data to guide antimicrobial use and decisions. My PhD aims to address these problems through developing data-driven classification systems for febrile children using whole-blood transcriptomics.

I am part of the EU-Horizon 2020 DIAMONDS (https://www.diamonds2020.eu/) consortium which seeks to develop personalized management strategies for children with febrile illness based on new diagnostic tests. My PhD is jointly funded by DIAMONDS and the UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training in AI for Healthcare (https://ai4health.io/).

I am also on the committee for the UK Paediatric Antimicrobial Stewardship Network (https://uk-pas.co.uk/). This network provides an important platform for all healthcare professions to exchange lessons learned in the pursuit of improved stewardship in children. We also coordinate projects and local, regional, and national levels to improve the safe and effective use of antimicrobials in the paediatric population.
