DrPavel Shliaha

My primary research interest is understanding how epigenetic regulation and metabolism drive the progression of cardiovascular disease, and how these processes can be modulated to reverse pathological changes in a controlled manner. I am also passionate about advancing plasma proteome profiling by developing improved separation strategies and nanoparticle-based enrichment approaches for low-abundance proteins. A central technological focus of my work is ion mobility separation — a technique that enables additional molecular resolution in the gas phase based on three-dimensional structure.
