BIO

I am a cardiovascular researcher whose primary analytical platform is LC–MS. I have over 15 years of experience spanning LC–MS, proteomics, metabolomics, and bioinformatics across both academic and industrial environments. My publication record reflects contributions to both technological innovation and the application of mass spectrometry to a broad spectrum of biological questions.

 

I completed my PhD at the University of Cambridge in the laboratory of Kathryn Lilley, where I investigated organelle proteomics in yeast and developed ion-mobility separation strategies to enhance proteome coverage.

 

I subsequently spent four years at the University of Southern Denmark Protein Center in the group of Ole N Jensen, conducting pioneering work on ultra-high-resolution ion mobility and gas-phase analysis of intact proteins. This research was supported by a prestigious fellowship from the Lundbeck Foundation that I competitively secured. During this time, as part of the Danish Epigenetics Consortium, I also developed methodologies for profiling histone post-translational modifications.

 

I then spent two years at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where I developed technologies for analysing rare immune cell populations. After a subsequent year at MSD headquarters in New Jersey working on analytical strategies for antibody therapeutic characterisation, I was appointed Head of Proteomics at the MRC Laboratory of Medical Sciences. There, I contributed to many biological and clinical studies while developing high-throughput automated workflows for proteome and phosphoproteome profiling, alongside advances in ultra-high-resolution liquid chromatography.

 

In 2025, I joined the group of Manuel Mayr with the goal of establishing an independent research programme focused on epigenetic regulation and plasma proteome dynamics in cardiovascular disease.
