BIO

I am a biomedical research scientist in the field of virology and currently a Teaching Fellow in the Faculty of Medicine. My main research focus is retrovirus-host interactions, HIV/AIDS, antiviral and anticancer therapy, and drug discovery. I am currently involved in the teaching of laboratory-based modules and theoretical modules, academic tutoring of undergraduate students, and the training of PhD students as graduate teaching assistants (GTAs) for the Bs. Medical Biosciences Programme. My interests also include building strategies to improve Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), science funding and policy, scientific collaborations, international relations, public engagement and outreach.
