DrNafiseh Chalabi Hagkarim

My teaching experience spans undergraduate medical and biomedical education, laboratory practicals and postgraduate research supervision. At the University of Birmingham, I delivered small-group teaching on genetics and cancer, tumour immunology, p53, and the DNA damage response, alongside laboratory demonstration and practical training. I have supervised and co-supervised undergraduate, MRes and PhD research projects, supporting students in experimental design, laboratory techniques, data interpretation and scientific communication. I now contribute as Module Lead for the Specialism module of Imperial’s MRes Cancer Biology programme. My approach encourages critical thinking, connects fundamental biology with current research, and supports students in developing confidence and independence.
