Mahima Ghosh is a Research Software Engineer at Imperial College London, specialising in computer science, healthcare AI, and computational neuroscience.
With a background in Computer Science and an MSc in Human and Biological Robotics from Imperial, her work bridges engineering and healthcare/tech. She develops intelligent systems that translate complex health data into predictive insights — from real-time biosignal analysis on embedded systems to large-scale population microsimulation models.
At the Centre for Health Economics & Policy Innovation (CHEPI), she leads the software development of HealthGPS, a microsimulation platform used to evaluate the long-term impact of public health and regulatory interventions across diverse populations.
Mahima’s research interests lie in building scalable, interpretable, and impactful health technologies that support both individual decision-making and policy design.
She is passionate about cross-disciplinary applications of AI and believes that well-designed technology — grounded in science, systems thinking, and accessibility — can transform global health outcomes.
