BIO
I am a triple fellowship trained Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic surgeon with expertise in complex primary and revision hip replacement, hip resurfacing, hip fractures, and open and arthroscopic hip preservation surgery. After a PhD investigating direct anterior approach hip replacement, I became an NIHR Clinical Lecturer at Imperial where I now continue a research program in hip surgery.
I trained on the North West London training programme and completed fellowships at UCLH, the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford, and the Royal Berkshire Hospital. I was awarded British Orthopaedic Association, the John Charnley Trust, and the British Hip Society traveling fellowships, and spent time in HSS New York, the Mayo Clinic, the Ottawa Hospital, ZOL Belgium, and Schulthess Clinic Switzerland learning further surgical techniques. I am on the Education Committee for the British Hip Society, and chair the Computers and Enabling Technologies Committee for SICOT. My clinical practice is at University College London Hospital, where I specialise in all aspects of hip surgery, and the generality of orthopaedic trauma.
