MrKartik Logishetty

Allied with my clinical interests in hip dysplasia, FAI, hip resurfacing and anterior approach hip replacement - at MSklab I develop and apply digital solutions to improve surgical techniques and patient outcomes in hip surgery.

My PhD investigated:

- 3D surgical planning, Virtual and Augmented Reality technologies
- Human factors and surgical workflow innovations
- AI methods to assess surgical performance
- Hip biomechanics and hip implant design

It was instrumental in the launch and propagation of VR surgical education, in collaboration with J&J.

My research group continues this theme, and we have three main areas of interest:

1. Femoroacetabular impingement surgery
2. Periacetabular and proximal femoral osteotomies
3. Periprosthetic fractures around the hip

My industry collaborations involve work on developing new implants, and improving and innovating in training the surgical team.
