BIO

I am a health economist with a general interest in research questions at the intersection of population health, health systems, the environment, climate change, and the green transition. I apply quasi-experimental econometric techniques to evaluate the impacts of public policies, including the mediation of health impacts of environmental exposures or climate events, with a focus on low- and middle-income country contexts such as Indonesia and Brazil. I am co-PI on a £1.5M Wellcome Trust-funded project on fossil fuel subsidy reform, health financing, and climate equity in Indonesia. I also co-lead the Population Health Improvement module in the Global Master of Public Health. Previously I held appointments at NOVA School of Business & Economics, Queen Mary University of London, and the University of Geneva, where I obtained my PhD in Econometrics.
