RESEARCH

Mr Khoshbin unique areas of research interest:

Reducing systemic inflammatory responce associated with mechanical circulatory support (MCS) contributing to its advancment in the last 20 years.

Innovative surgical therapies for heart failure using mechanical circulatory support (MCS):

  • Right ventricular protection and reducing the systemic inflammatory response during LVAD implantation.
  • Early intervention for right heart failure during durable left ventricular assist device (LVAD) implantation.
  • Right ventricular mechanical support post LVAD.
  • Ventricular recovery post LVAD and MCS decommissioning.
  • Complex explantation of durable LVAD pre transplantation (Ventricular split technique).

Research in surgical education for transplantation and mechanical circulatory support.

Surgical safe practice through new innovations (Exoskeleton).
