DrElisa Duregotti

I am a Molecular Biologist by training, and I obtained my PhD at the University of Padova with a project focused on neuronal regenerative mechanisms. This work was published as a first-authorship article in PNAS and provided me with extensive neuroscientist expertise. After a short post-doc in the same group, I joined Prof Mayr at King’s College BHF Centre in London in September 2017. There, I focussed my research on perivascular adipose tissue innervation in vascular and metabolic disease, which resulted in a first-authorship publication in Nature Communications in 2022. In September 2023, I joined Imperial College NHLI with Prof Mayr following his relocation from King’s College.
