I completed my Wellcome Trust funded Clinical Doctoral Fellowship at Imperial College London in 2020 which focused on immunological and microbiological mechanisms underlying excess Preterm Birth in pregnant women living with HIV. I subsequently took up an NIHR matched Academic Clinical Lecturer position to continue my doctoral research theme, funded by a programme grant from the March of Dimes European Preterm Birth Research Centre, the Academy of Medical Sciences and UNITAID.

In September 2024 I was appointed as a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Genitourinary and HIV Medicine to commence my ambitious research programme into the neglected women's health condition: Bacterial Vaginosis, with a focus on understanding the mechanisms underlying its high recurrence (including AMR) and the development of novel therapeutic approaches. I am a Consultant in Sexual Health and HIV at Imperial College NHS partner sites (West Middlesex Hospital and St Mary's Hospital). I lead the North West London Vaginitis Network, a regional clinical network of Physicians running Vaginitis services, driving change for our women through research and advocacy. I co -chair of the BHIVA National Guidelines for the Management of HIV in Pregnancy and am a core member of the BASHH National Guidelines for the Management of Bacterial Vaginosis.
