RESEARCH
My research focuses on advancing the understanding and management of colorectal disease, with a particular emphasis on minimally invasive and endoscopic surgical techniques. I am especially interested in improving outcomes in colorectal cancer through innovation in surgical practice, perioperative care, and multidisciplinary approaches.
A central area of my work involves coloproctology, including the optimisation of treatment strategies for benign and malignant colorectal conditions. I have a strong interest in the application and evaluation of advanced endoscopic procedures, as well as in enhancing recovery pathways and reducing surgical morbidity.
My research also explores the integration of evidence-based medicine into clinical decision-making, with the aim of translating emerging scientific knowledge into improved patient care. I am keen to contribute to collaborative, international research initiatives and to the development of best-practice guidelines within colorectal surgery.
