BIO
Bethan Davies’s research interest is the use of routine data to build the evidence base for public health policy. She is the Deputy Director of the UK Small Area Statistics Unit (SAHSU) in the MRC Centre for Environment and Health where she researches the impact of social and environmental factors on health and health inequality, including:
- Associate Director, HDRUK Social and Environmental Determinants of Health Driver Programme leading research on the role of our environments in healthy ageing.
- Co-Investigator, NIHR HPRU on Radiation Threats and Hazards. Co-leading Theme 3, Radiation Releases: Accidents and incidents.
- Co-Investigator, CRUK Cancer Data Driven Detection (CD3). Co-leading research into geospatial inequalities in cancer incidence.
Bethan is a Clinical Associate Professor in the School of Public Health and an Honorary Consultant in Public Health Medicine at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. Bethan is the Co-Director of the Imperial Masters in Public Health (MPH) Online, Academic Representative to the Faculty Information Governance committee and EDI lead for the Social, Genetic and Environmental Determinants of Health Theme of the NIHR Imperial Biomedical Research Centre.
