BIO

Barbara is a PhD candidate in Marketing Strategy at Imperial College Business School. Barbara's PhD is supervised by Professor Andreas B. Eisingerich and Dr. Omar Merlo.

Barbara explores how different stakeholders (influencers, brand managers, customers and intermediary agencies) perceive influencer’s authenticity. Barbara also studies transgressions, focusing on when and why customers turn toxic against brands and the role rumination plays in driving toxic behavior. Barbara also investigates how rating a negative experience can reduce consumers’ hostile aggression in online reviews.

Barbara's research is currently under review at the Journal of Marketing and AMS Review. Barbara's work on liability-invoking failures is published in the Journal of International Marketing.

Barbara has presented her research at various leading academic conferences, including the AMA Summer and Winter Academic Conference, European Marketing Academy Conference's Doctoral Colloquium, Society for Consumer Psychology Boutique Conference and the London PhD Camp.

Barbara has a Master's degree at Strategic Marketing from Imperial College London, a BSc in Business Management and an LLB Bachelor of Laws.
