BIO
I am a Professor of Power Systems at Imperial College London. My current research focuses on the reliable operation of net-zero electricity grids powered by large-scale renewable energy. My past research in power transmission and distribution control has directly contributed to commercial product development for multinational power companies.
As IEEE Power and Energy Society President-Elect (26-27), I oversee the long-term strategic planning and initiatives to guide the society's global growth and governance in advancing the worldwide power and energy community.
I am a Fellow of the IEEE, the Royal Academy of Engineering (UK), a foreign member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and the Indian Academy of Engineering.
