BIO

I am a Professor of Power Systems in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London. My research is driven by the challenge of ensuring dynamic stability of electric power grids with high shares of renewables and inverter-based resources, which is key to delivering a net-zero future.

I serve as the UK Director of the Global Centre on Electric Power Innovation for a Carbon-Free Society (EPICS), which is pioneering the transition to an electricity grid powered entirely by renewable energy. I co-lead the workforce development pillar of the Global Power System Transformation (G-PST) consortium, which brings together grid operators, equipment vendors, developers and researchers to accelerate the clean energy transition at an unprecedented scope and scale.

I am a Fellow of IEEE and the IET.
