TEACHING INTERESTS

My approach to teaching and student mentorship bridges theoretical fundamentals such as signal processing, and hardware-software co-design with real-world physical implementation. Coming from an interdisciplinary background across micro-electronics, embedded firmware, and bio-inspired robotics, I emphasize hands-on, problem-based learning to help students build robust, real-time engineered systems from the ground up.

  Teaching Assistantships & Laboratory Instruction
  • Embedded Systems Lab: Conducted laboratory sessions, guided students through micro-controller architecture, hardware peripheral interfacing (I2C, SPI, UART), circuit simulation, and firmware debugging in C/C++.
  • Real-time Embedded Systems Lab: Led practical lab modules focusing on real-time task scheduling, priority management, deterministic execution, and hardware-software integration for time-critical embedded applications.
  • Coursework Support & Assessment: Evaluated student practical demonstrations, lab reports, and assignments while providing constructive technical feedback to enhance engineering rigor and code quality.
Student Mentorship & Research Supervision
  • Project & Research Mentorship: Guided undergraduate, Master’s, and incoming researchers on custom hardware design, PCB layout, sensor integration, and real-time operating systems (FreeRTOS).
  • Technical Onboarding & Workflows: Facilitated hands-on training for lab members in hardware debugging, signal acquisition, high-voltage control electronics, and edge AI/ML deployment on resource-constrained embedded devices.
