BIO

Dr Zhusheng Shi is a Visiting Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Imperial College London. His research experiences include metal forming technologies, powder metallurgy, surface engineering, materials characterisation and modelling, and process simulation. His current research focuses on creep age forming of large aluminium alloy panels for aeronautical and high-speed train applications, development of novel extrusion technologies for curved products and wide-thin plates, hot stamping of high strength steels, application of machine learning in metal forming processes, development of direct powder forging process, materials modelling and microstructural control during forming processes.
