BIO
Zaynab Jawad is a Consultant General, benign UGI and Emergency surgeon based at London North West Healthcare University NHS Trust.
After graduating in medicine from Corpus Christi College, Cambridge and Imperial College, London she completed higher surgical training in the North West Thames Deanery becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2019. She obtained her PhD from the Department of Materials, Imperial College London, developing gold nanomaterials for diagnostic use.
Zaynab is an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London and joint undergraduate lead at Ealing Hospital. She has published several high impact papers and co-authored a book for surgical trainees.
