Dr. Yao Gao is a Research Associate in the Department of Earth Sciences and Engineering at Imperial College London. His research focuses on investigating the surface properties, tectonics, and volcanism of terrestrial bodies using radar remote sensing techniques.

He is currently working on a UK Space Agency-funded project in support of the upcoming ESA/NASA EnVision mission to Venus. In this role, he develops advanced Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) image processing algorithms and tools to better understand the surface processes of Venus.
