BIO

I am a Research Associate at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College London, working with Professor Dennis Wang. My research focuses on developing and evaluating computational methods for clinical and biological data, with an emphasis on interpretable machine learning and clinically meaningful analysis.

My current work brings together longitudinal clinical records, molecular profiles and wearable data to study pulmonary hypertension and cardiovascular health. I am particularly interested in how changes over time can inform our understanding of disease progression and support patient monitoring.

My previous research spans microbiome biomarker discovery, smartwatch-based blood pressure monitoring, clinical decision support and the reliability of explainable AI. Across these projects, I work closely with clinicians to develop analytical approaches suited to the data and the clinical question.

I received my PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Seoul National University in 2025, supervised by Professor Jongmo Seo and co-supervised by Professor Barbara Di Camillo at the University of Padova.
