BIO

Xi Lu is a Research Associate at the MRC Centre for Global Infectious Disease Analysis, Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology, Imperial College London.

Xi’s current research focuses on modelling Streptococcus pneumoniae dynamics with vaccination and migration, estimating pneumococcal invasiveness in bioinformatics methods, and forecasting future pneumococcal vaccine impacts via quantitive analysis.

Xi received his Ph.D. in Telecommunications from King’s College London (2019). After the COVID-19 outbreak, he swiftly applied his skills and techniques in information technology and extended his interests to wider data-related areas like bioinformatics and epidemiology.
