BIO

I received my bachelor and master degree at Tsinghua University, China in 2012 and 2014 respectively, and got my PhD at Imperial College London in 2019. I am now serving as a Research Associate at Imperial College London, UK. My research is mainly focused on integrated whole energy system modelling considering operation and investment timescales while covering both the local district and national level infrastructures; and the investigation of cost-effective decarbonization strategies. My work also involves proposing smart control strategies to coordinate the heating schedule of a large population of buildings so that preheating can effectively drive system cost savings on the national level. Another research interest is related to exploring the opportunity to enhance the resilience of local urban energy system through multi-energy micro-grid as a key solution to tackle the increased occurrence frequency and severity of power outages.
