MissVichaya Manatchinapisit

Vichaya Manatchinapisit is a Research Associate in the Next Generation Neural Interfaces (NGNI) Lab in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Imperial College London. Her research focuses on electronic hardware, circuits, and instrumentation for implantable neural interfaces.

She currently works on the 4DCONTROL project, where she is developing scalable multipolar neural stimulation hardware for precise neural stimulation, including circuit design, instrumentation, PCB development, and experimental systems for ex vivo and in vitro studies.

Her PhD research focused on electrode impedance characterisation for implantable neural interfaces. She developed accelerated degradation testing methods, benchtop electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) instrumentation, and the NeuroZ integrated circuit for on-chip electrode impedance measurement.

She received her BEng in Biomedical Engineering from Mahidol University, Thailand, and her MSc in Biomedical Engineering from Imperial College London. Her research interests include neural interfaces, neural stimulation, bioelectronic instrumentation, electrode impedance characterisation, integrated circuit design, and biomedical electronics.
