BIO
I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Department of Astrophysical Sciences at Princeton University (USA). My research focuses on laser-driven, magnetized high-energy-density plasma experiments. I'm interested in fundamental processes such as magnetic reconnection, particle heating in collisionless shocks, and the stability of magnetized rotating plasmas.
During my years at Imperial College, I worked with Prof Sergey Lebedev running laboratory astrophysics experiments on differentially rotating plasmas under an Imperial College President's PhD Scholarship. I continue working on this topic through both intense lasers and pulsed-power generators.
As an Academic Visitor, I continue collaborating with the Plasma Physics Group at Imperial College by running numerical simulations using the Gorgon Code (developed by Prof Jeremy Chittenden's group) and investigating scaled experiments using the MAGPIE pulsed-power generator.
