BIO

I am a clinician-scientist with a strong interest in human motor control in health and disease. I completed my medical training and PhD through the UCL MBPhD Programme, working with Professors John Rothwell, Marjan Jahanshahi, and Tom Foltynie on impulsivity in Parkinson’s disease, Tourette Syndrome, and human decision-making. My expertise spans human neurophysiology, cognitive and behavioural neuroscience, experimental design, and research involving clinical populations.

Currently, I am a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Bioengineering at Imperial College London, working with Professor Dario Farina and Dr Juan Gallego. Additionally, I hold an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellowship at King’s College London with Professor Mark Edwards and practise as a medical doctor at King’s College Hospital.

My research focuses on understanding how humans control movement, how this control is disrupted in pathological conditions (e.g., Parkinson’s disease and spinal cord injury), and how these insights can inform therapeutic interventions. Specifically, I work at the intersection of neural engineering, motor neuroscience, and clinical neurology, collaborating with colleagues from diverse disciplines to develop novel approaches to restoring motor function.
