MrVishnu Mohanakumar Jaya

At the TSC, Vishnu's research focuses on applying in-depth case study methodologies to help public transport organisations learn from their peers around the world. Vishnu also manages TSC's customer satisfaction survey project, which uses a unique methodology to benchmark the traditionally subjective area of customer satisfaction. Vishnu mainly works on the modes of metro rail, light rail, and buses.   

Vishnu has 14 years of experience working on urban transport and urban environmental services, across cross-cutting themes such as environment, sustainability, and climate change, governance and political economy, and public finance and budgeting.

Prior to the TSC, Vishnu worked for a decade in India, at organisations such as the Indian Institute for Human Settlements (IIHS), the Institute for Transportation Development and Policy (ITDP India Programme), and The Urban Catalysts.

In these roles, Vishnu worked closely with stakeholders including the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, the UK's FCDO, and liaisoned with various Indian government entities including the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.  

Vishnu holds an Integrated Masters in Development Studies from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras.
