DrViktorija Kesaite

Viktorija is a Research Associate at the Centre for Health Economics & Policy Innovation (CHEPI) at Imperial College London. Her research focuses on the application of economic modelling to evaluate the impact of fiscal and regulatory interventions aimed at preventing non-communicable diseases.

Prior to joining Imperial College London, Viktorija held a Research Associate position at the University of Cambridge, where she contributed to a diverse range of food-related research. Her research encompassed studies on ultra-processed foods and foods that are high in fat, salt, or sugar, food waste, and evaluations of a range of food-related interventions such as free school meals, and removal of promotions in supermarkets in the UK.

Viktorija completed her PhD in Health Economics at the University of Exeter in 2021. During her PhD research she assessed the impact of obesity on education and employment outcomes, with specific focus on evaluating the causal methodology that was used to estimate these impacts.
