BIO
Dr Vincent Cibert-Goton is a Senior Scientist in the Respiratory Pharmacology Research Group.
Vincent graduated in Molecular biology and cell physiology (BSc, MSc) from the university Blaise Pascal - Clermont-Ferrand (France). During his PhD at KCL, he worked on the modulation of synaptic strength at spinal cord level using pain models of peripheral tissue injury, chronic inflammation, and nerve injury.
Since completing his PhD, he successively worked at UCL (NPP) on the muscarinic modulation of the slow after hyperpolarising K+ current in hippocampal neurons, then at QMUL (Centre for Neuroscience, Surgery and Trauma) largely investigating the mechanisms by which sensory afferents are activated in a variety of gastrointestinal disorders, before joining Imperial where he works as a respiratory neurophysiologist.
