BIO

My research focusses on social connection as a mediator of recovery from an eating disorder, particularly in adolescents and young adults.

I am particularly interested in how the empathogenic profile of MDMA may facilitate reductions in the negative interpretation of ambiguous social situations, social anxiety and increase interpersonal closeness, and whether reversing negative social biases might reduce eating disorder cognitions.

More broadly, my work integrates neuropsychological, clinical, and developmental perspectives to better understand the psychological and neurobiological factors underlying eating pathology and related social difficulties.
