BIO
As Director of Public Engagement, Vicky's role is to embed a culture of public engagement across the University through strategic leadership, fundraising, capacity building initiatives for staff and students and a range of public programming. As part of this role, Vicky directs the Great Exhibition Road Festival and also oversees a range of community engagement initiatives centred around the Invention Rooms at White city.
Vicky joined Imperial in November 2015. Prior to this she was Head of Engagement and Interpretation at Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, with responsibility for developing the interpretation strategy for the attraction and overseeing the curation and delivery of the public engagement programme, including large-scale festivals and ongoing learning activities. Previous positions include Head of Learning and Volunteering at the Horniman Museum and Gardens, London and Head of Learning Programmes at Thinktank, Birmingham’s Science Museum.
Vicky holds an MSc in Science Communication and a BA (Hons) in Science, Society and the Media.
