Thomas Holland is a PhD candidate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, working in the Electrochemical Science and Engineering group. His research focuses on modelling inhomogeneous degradation in Lithium Ion batteries.
He graduated from Imperial College with a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a Year in Industry in 2022. His industrial placement was spent at Ricardo plc. where he worked in the Fluids, Thermal and Electromagnetic team on 3D Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). His Master's Thesis was on the topic of CFD modelling and validation of boiling for application to immersion-cooled battery packs.
