BIO
Tanita Yonel is a PhD candidate in the department of Analytics, Marketing and Operations.
With over six years of experience in corporate marketing, Tanita is currently applying the practical skills she's acquired to academic research at Imperial College London. Her research focuses on the synergies between branding, marketing stakeholders, and technology, examining how these elements collectively influence brand development and refine marketing strategies.
Her main research interest is situated at the intersection of marketing and entrepreneurship, with a particular focus on how early-stage ventures position themselves to build credibility and resonate with stakeholders. She investigates how start-ups market themselves to investors and build a brand despite resource constraints.
Additionally, she studies the effects of emerging technologies on psychological well-being and the potential applications of artificial intelligence in marketing.
Tanita holds an MRes in Business from Imperial College London, an MSc in Management from King’s College London and a BA from Maastricht University.
Prior to joining Imperial College London, she was working for companies such as Amazon, GoPro, and Henkel, where she held marketing manager positions within various disciplines (Brand Management, Insights Management, Online Marketing, and Social Media).
Tanita’s PhD is supervised by Prof. Andreas B. Eisingerich and Dr. Omar Merlo.
