BIO
My research is focused on the evolution of fungal symbiosis and uses a combination of genomics, phylogenetics and ecology. In my current position, I am working with Prof. Alfried Vogler at the Natural History Museum of London, where I am developing bark beetles and their associated fungi as a model system to explore holobiont evolution and diversification. Before this, I completed a PhD at Imperial College and the Royal Botanic Gardens Kew, where I studied adaptive traits in lichen symbiosis. Specifically, I investigated how lichens adapt to survive in extreme ecosystems, with a focus on their secondary metabolism.
