TEACHING INTERESTS
I have made sustained contributions to teaching and supervision across undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with a strong focus on research-led and interdisciplinary education. I currently deliver lectures in the Innovation and Translation in Medicine module within the BSc Medical Biosciences programme, as well as on the Intercalated BSc in Gastroenterology & Hepatology. I aim to make complex concepts accessible and engaging, contributing to consistently positive student feedback.
I provide extensive supervision for BSc and MRes research projects. My mentees have successfully completed high-quality projects, co-authored publications, and received competitive awards, including the Dean’s Award. I am actively involved in curriculum development, including co-leading the design of the Advanced Computational Genomics module for a new MSc in Computational Biomedicine, and developing new courses aligned with Imperial’s Institute of Extended Learning.
Previously, I established bioinformatics courses for BSc and MSc students in Budapest, taught systems biology to large cohorts, and delivered over 30 specialist training courses, including EMBL-EBI and EMBO programmes.
