BIO

I am a Senior Lecturer in outbreak response analytics, with a background in biostatistics, population genetics, and R programming. My research focusses on developing new methodologies and tools for understanding how infectious diseases spread, and how we can control them. I have been part of the Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology at Imperial since 2009. I have also been an Associate Professor at LSHTM (2018-2022), a core membre of the UK Public Health Rapid Support Team (2018-2022), and a software design lead for Epiverse with data.org (2022-2023). I was the founder of the R Epidemics Consortium (RECON), an international non-profit for the development of free, open-source software for informing humanitarian responses. I also have field experience, having been deployed on site for several Ebola response, including 6 months spent in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, in North Kivu and Ituri provinces, in 2019.

I currently hold a part-time position at Imperial. I am also a consultant in infectious disease modelling and outbreak analytics.
