RESEARCH

OVERVIEW
Theoni's research interests involve the synthesis and characterisation of well-defined polymers using "living" and/or "controlled" polymerisation techniques. Specifically, the engineering of well-defined, functional polymeric materials mostly for bioapplications like drug delivery, gene delivery, tissue engineering, medical imaging, photodynamic therapy and photothermal therapy. Furthermore, she is interested in the phase separation of polymer solutions and in fabricating polymeric macrosurfactants for stabilising dispersions and polymer particles.
