BIO
Tobie P. Cusson is a research postgraduate at the Transport Strategy Centre at Imperial College London, supervised by Professor Daniel J. Graham, Professor Roger Vickerman, and Daniel Horcher.
Tobie holds a BA in Economics from McGill University and an MSc in Economics from the LSE. His research interests are quantitative spatial modelling, high speed rail and its role in rebalancing the spatial economy, agglomeration externalities and other market failures, transport appraisal, and econometrics and causality.
After completing his MSc in 2012, Tobie undertook research at CIRANO experimental economics laboratory in Montreal. He then moved back to London where he spent three years at NERA Economic Consulting working for regulated utilities in the water and energy sectors. He is currently employed as an Economic Analysis Manager at Network Rail where he has focused on transport appraisal and strategic planning since 2015.
