Shizhou's research interests span across surgical innovation, molecular medicine, and biomarker discovery. Currently, his research focuses on the discovery of network relationships between multicompartmental volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in human subjects, aiming to reveal compartment-specific fingerprint biomarkers and understand the mechanisms of VOC transportation within the human circulatory system. By integrating advanced analytical techniques such as GC-MS analysis, metabolic profiling, and computational modeling, his work seeks to enhance the accuracy of disease biomarker identification and contribute to the development of non-invasive diagnostic strategies for conditions such as oesophagogastric cancer.
