Saom Anisi is a PhD student at the Hamlyn Centre for Surgical Robotics in the Department of Mechanical Engineering as a member of the Micro-Nano Innovation Lab.

His current research is focused on developing automated precision micro-fabrication and alignment systems in support of the precision assembly of medical micro-optics as part of the fabrication pipeline of sub-millimetre NIRF/IVUS catheters. This work is conducted as part of the NIRFUS project and funded by the European Innovation Coucil.
