RESEARCH

Her research interests lie in cancer epidemiology, early diagnosis, dementia prevention, women’s health, and the use of large-scale real-world data to improve disease detection and risk prediction. She is particularly interested in understanding how behavioural and sex-specific factors influence health outcomes and disease trajectories. Her work combines epidemiological and data-driven approaches to investigate early indicators of cancer and cognitive decline, with the aim of improving prevention and earlier diagnosis across populations.

Dr Toopchiani has published work on sex differences in dementia risk, Alzheimer’s disease biomarkers, cognitive ageing, and cancer early diagnosis.
