BIO

Louis Nguyen (formally as Son Hoang Luu Nguyen) obtained his PhD from Imperial College London. His PhD research focused on measuring and modelling permeation of gases in polymers, with applications in Carbon Capture and Storage. He's interested in creating a new framework to predict gas permeability in polymers with the use of Equations of State. The project was supervised by Dr Chris Tighe, Professor Amparo Galindo and Professor George Jackson.

He's part of the High Pressrue Industrial System Group (Dr Tighe) and Molecular System Engineering (Prof Galindo, Prof Jackson).

Louis is a First-class (Dean's List) MEng Chemical Engineering graduate of University College London with industrial placement in the Consumer Health industry. Outside the college, he's also the Secretary at the Institute of Chemical Engineer London and South East Coast Young Member Group.
