BIO

My research focuses on dissecting the complexities of infectious diseases, with a particular emphasis on Kawasaki Disease, febrile infections, and COVID-19. As a Research Fellow at Imperial College London’s School of Medicine, I specialize in proteomic and metagenomic studies to advance our understanding of these diseases at the molecular level.

Previously, I was awarded an EMBO Fellowship at VIB, University of Ghent, Belgium, where I led a team in developing innovative methods for pathogen identification in patient samples. Additionally, I have been actively involved in several high-impact research projects, including DIAMONDS, PERFORM, and EUCLIDS.

Beyond my research, I am dedicated to education and mentorship, having supervised and mentored students across various academic stages. I am also committed to public outreach, promoting science education, and global health initiatives.

With a solid foundation in research and a passion for education, I aim to further our knowledge of molecular biology and infectious diseases, while inspiring and nurturing the next generation of researchers.
