Researcher in Atmospheric & Climate Science working at the intersection of geoscience and machine learning. Interested in developing reliable, explainable AI to extract physical insight from complex, multimodal data—ranging from satellite and reanalysis products to human-sensor and social media streams—and to improve forecasting of high-impact events. My background spans geomatics and remote sensing, general circulation models, and large-scale deep learning. My current work focuses on AI for wildfire nowcasting, integrating human-in-the-loop approaches and embedding-based methods to identify features such as wildfire ignition points.
