Stefania joined the NIHR London IVD Coop, based at Imperial College, as a research associate in Health Technology Assessment.
Stefania studied Biomedical Engineering at University of Pisa (Italy) and completed her PhD in Healthcare Innovation Management at Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies (Pisa, Italy). During her PhD, she visited the Public Health Science Department at Karolinska Institute (Stockholm, Sweden), and the Health Economics Research Centre at University of Oxford, to advance her knowledge on epidemiology and health economics.
Stefania’s research focuses on applying a cross-disciplinary and multi-method approach able to support early, in a medical technology’s life cycle, the successful and cost-effective development of innovative medical devices. She is currently working on the field-testing of Medical device Key Evidence Tool (MedKET), designed to help developers assess how well equipped they are for successful product development.
