RESEARCH

My research interests include molecular and materials representations, Bayesian optimisation, explainable and interpretable AI, quantum chemistry, generative models, and autonomous experimentation. I am particularly interested in understanding how the way we represent scientific problems affects machine learning and optimisation, and how these insights can be used to build more efficient and general approaches to scientific discovery. I also enjoy exploring new research directions and working on problems outside my immediate areas of expertise, particularly when they bring together ideas from different disciplines and open up new ways of approaching scientific questions.
