RESEARCH
Research on Engineering Science Fundamentals, especially the cusp-interface between Interdisciplinary Applied Mathematics, Engineering Science and Complex Multiscale Systems. Systems of interest are in the twilight zone between Engineering Science, Physics and Chemistry.
Particular emphasis is given to:
- General Applied Mathematics
- Computational Science and Engineering
- Fluid Dynamics
- Statistical Mechanics
- Reaction-Diffusion Systems
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wide spectrum of theoretical and computational capablities:
- Applied PDEs
- Asymptotic analysis, singular perturbation theory
- Bifurcation and dynamical systems theory
- Data-driven coarse graining
- Discrete and essential spectra of di erential operators
- Multiscale analysis of PDEs/SPDEs, homogenisation theory
- Numerical solution of PDEs/SPDEs
- Rigorous mode reduction and coarse graining procedures for multiscale PDEs/SPDEs

My published work includes > 200 journal papers in globally recognised academic journals, with numerous invited papers in special journal issues, a major research monograph, an edited book, 4 book chapters and > 50 conference proceedings.
My group operates in a high-density, intensive research domain, prioritising advanced theory and computations. We focus on cutting-edge techniques and methodological innovations to ensure the absolutely highest quality of results.
We are happy to connect with individuals looking to work with us and join our team. We aim to attract the absolute highest tier of talent.
However.
If you would like to work with us, you need to think carefully how your background and skills intersect with our intensive research domain, and carefully consider how your experience aligns with ours.
